FoilPilot is a native Android and Wear OS project for recording sessions, navigating courses, tracking performance and keeping useful information readable while you are actually moving.
The current builds already cover live GPS telemetry, course work, navigation, session review and audio-focused use. Phone and watch are both active development targets.
FoilPilot is designed around big, glanceable information for a moving rider rather than a dense fitness dashboard.
Build, preview, save and run course layouts from the phone, including fixed benchmark courses and wind-aware placement.
FoilPilot can guide to marks and around courses using map and navigation views built for quick interpretation on the water.
The Wear OS build already uses spoken speed/navigation feedback and an offline music player so useful feedback can stay hands-off.
The app uses strong screen identities rather than hiding everything behind generic menus. The colour and badge language below is already used through the phone build.
Green identity for live rider position, track and session movement.
Cyan / amber identity for active course geometry and route information.
Magenta identity for marks, targets and navigation references.
Purple / orange identity for building, moving, rotating and saving course layouts.
FoilPilot is not presented here as a finished commercial product. The phone and watch builds are being developed and tested continuously, with features changing as they are proven in real use.
Core tracking, mapping, course tools, navigation and session features are already working in development builds. The phone and watch are not yet a finished companion/synchronised system.
FoilPilot is currently distributed privately for development and testing. There is no public Play Store release or general download offered from this site yet.
The next server layer is being built around opt-in live session sharing: a private link showing approximate rider position, breadcrumb since session start, current speed, last update time and an active course when one is running.
This site is the current home of the project. Feature descriptions above refer to development builds unless explicitly marked as future work.
